Governance
Sacred Heart Catholic School is a systemic school which is part of the Catholic Education Tasmania.
There are four other Catholic primary schools in Launceston, with a large Catholic Secondary College. Systemic Catholic schools in Tasmania are under the jurisdiction of Archdiocese of Hobart. Management is through the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office with policy directed through the Tasmanian Catholic Education Commission.
Each school has its own Advisory Board. This structure provides support to the Principal in the alignment of policy, vision and mission of the school.

Our school vision statement
God Loves us absolutely just as we are. At Sacred Heart we love each other as God loves us. To love and to be loved allows all of us to flourish into being the best that we can be; in ourselves, in our relationships, and in our learning.
Our school mission statement
Go forward and share God’s gift of love to make our world a better place. As a Catholic systemic school we are also informed and supportive of systemic documents including:
- The Archbishop’s Charter for Catholic Schools
- Archdiocesan Vision and Mission Statements
- T.C.E.C. Vision and Mission Statement
