Parents & Friends
The Parents & Friends (P&F) promotes and supports the vision of the school:
For Sacred Heart students to be effective members of society, reflecting Gospel values in their daily lives.
Our P&F are actively engaged in our school. They meet once a month in our school staff room.
Parents pay a P&F Levy as part of their school fees. Usually this means there is no other major fundraising throughout the year that parents will be asked to participate in apart from our Annual Twilight Fair. In light of current COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to proceed with our annual fair. Instead we will be looking at a number of smaller fundraising opportunities to assist in supporting our students and school.
The P&F, through this levy and fundraising, provide an allocation of funds to every classroom for the year, which helps cover additional resources and specific materials for each class.
We hope to provide school community orientated events/fundraisers whilst we are unable to have the Annual Twilight Fair. The funds raised by P&F in recent years have gone towards:
-
New playground equipment, all-weather surface court, Grade 6 legacy plaques, new music stands, new Sport Singlets for students participating in School Sporting Events, Welcome Back BBQ, Maggie Dent Webinar.
Our Parents and Friends also host iconic events for our school community, including:
-
Carols on the Oval
-
Family Rock ‘N’ Roll Night
-
Welcome Back BBQ
